Thank you for choosing SilkName. We want you to feel confident when you purchase access to our AI name generator. This policy explains how we handle refunds for our digital service.
Our Service Is Digital
SilkName is a web-based, digital-only product. When you complete a paid purchase (e.g., via PayPal), you receive immediate access to the unlocked features or usage. Because the service is delivered electronically and consumed at once, we generally do not offer refunds once that access has been granted.

When a Refund May Be Considered
We may consider a refund only in the following situations:
- Duplicate payment: You were charged more than once for the same purchase (e.g., a double charge due to a technical or processing error). We will refund the duplicate amount.
- Technical failure: You paid for access but did not receive the paid feature due to a verifiable failure on our side (e.g., a system error that prevented delivery of the unlock or usage). In such cases we will work to fix the issue first; if we cannot deliver what you paid for, we will consider a refund.
Refunds are not available simply because you changed your mind, did not use the service after purchase, or were unsatisfied with the AI-generated name suggestions. Our AI output is provided for reference and inspiration only, as stated in our Terms of Service.
Request Timeframe
To be eligible for review, refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the date of the original transaction. Requests received after this period may not be considered, as we are unable to reliably verify or resolve older transactions.
How to Request a Refund
Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Refund request" and include:
- The email address or identifier you used when making the purchase
- The date of the transaction and, if possible, the transaction or payment reference (e.g., from your PayPal receipt)
- A brief explanation of why you are requesting a refund (e.g., duplicate charge, technical failure preventing access)
We will review your request and respond as quickly as we can. SilkName is operated by an individual developer, so response times may vary; we typically aim to reply within a few business days.
Review and Discretion
All refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Whether to grant a refund (and for what amount) is at our sole discretion, subject to this policy and to applicable payment-provider rules. We are not obligated to issue a refund except in cases where we determine that the criteria above are clearly met (e.g., confirmed duplicate payment or verified technical failure on our side). If we approve a refund, it will be processed through the original payment method (e.g., PayPal) in accordance with the provider's processing times.
Chargebacks and Disputes
We ask that you contact us first before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute. Chargebacks can create unnecessary fees and complexity for a small operation. We are committed to resolving legitimate issues directly; in many cases we can fix technical problems or correct duplicate charges without the need for a dispute. If you file a chargeback without first giving us a reasonable opportunity to assist you, we may suspend or revoke your access to the Service.
